Liviu Prunaru (violin), Gregor Horsch (cello), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra; conductor: Andris Nelsons. Recorded in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Founded in 1888, the Concertgebouworkest ranks among the world's best orchestras. It is named after its home place, the Concertgebouw (Concert Hall) in Amsterdam, which opened in April 1888. In 1988, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands conferred the "Royal" title upon the orchestra.
