Denis Matsuev (piano), Leonidas Kavakos (violin), Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra Saint Petersburg, conductor: Valery Gergiev. Besides Dmitri Shostakovich, Prokofiev is considered the greatest Russian composer of the 20th Century. His work includes almost all genres, from chamber and symphonic music, opera and ballet to film music. Recorded at the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall, St. Petersburg.
