GitaarSalon: Péter Girán

04.01.2018 | 12:00

The GitaarSalon presents the Hungarian guitarist Péter Girán. The young guitarist took part in several international guitar festivals, among which the Balatonfüred International Guitar Festival and the Altamira Guitar-Competition Iserlohn 2014. In this broadcast, Péter Girán performs a varied programme of, among others, three compositions by the 17th-century English composer Henry Purcell, as well as a ‘Malaguena’ by Isaac Albéniz. Giran’s style clearly distinguishes between the Baroque music of Henry Purcell and the Spanish influences of Albéniz. The newer compositions on the programme were written by fellow-guitarists: the 20th-century composers Dilermando Reis (Brazil) and Nuccio D’Angelo (Italy).
